Reasons for collecting this data

The information collected on the contact and order forms is recorded in a computerised file for the purpose of sending customers our latest news (commercial or otherwise) as well as information relating to the follow-up of orders or quotations.

How do we use it?

The data collected is used to:

  • manage orders placed on the website
  • manage customer requests by email (information, quotes, etc.)
  • send newsletters and transactional emails
  • provide access to our catalogues
  • create advertising audiences

Our advertising policy

We use online advertising to promote our brand to new customers via Meta, Google, Pinterest and LinkedIn. As a result, personal and browsing information collected by third-party cookies is used by the platforms to target users. We do not have access to this data until a user sends it to us directly (form, purchase, etc.). By refusing cookies, the platforms do not collect your browsing data. Our customers’ personal information may be used to create similar advertising audiences in order to find new customers.

Customer data is neither exchanged nor sold.

This data is kept for 5 years. It is only intended for use by Côté Food and its sub-contractors where necessary (execution and dispatch of orders). It is never exchanged or sold.

Customer data security, our priority

The personal information collected is kept in a secure environment. On the team’s computers, protected by passwords and double authentication, on Sendinblue, an email management tool (not necessarily for marketing purposes), on Sellsy or on WooCommerce, an online sales tool. These are third-party applications that also comply with the RGPD. They must meet the same data protection requirements and will be held responsible in the event of a problem.

The customer is warned in the event of an incident

Côté Food is committed to maintaining a high degree of confidentiality using all available resources. However, as no mechanism offers maximum security, a degree of risk is always present when using the Internet to transmit personal data. This is why, in the event of a problem, Côté Food is obliged to inform its customers and the CNIL within 72 hours.
